1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MintDocs ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

MintDocs provides AI-powered document tools including PDF summarisation, resume optimisation, SQL explanation, data extraction, and document conversion. The Service is provided "as is" and may be updated or modified at any time.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide a valid email address to use the Service
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• One account per person — creating multiple accounts to circumvent free tier limits is prohibited
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service

4. Free Tier and Paid Plans

The free tier provides 3 uses of the Service per account, per device. Paid plans (Pro and Business) provide unlimited or expanded access as described on our pricing page. Plan features and pricing may change with reasonable notice.

5. Payments and Refunds

• All payments are processed securely by Razorpay
• Subscriptions are billed monthly
• Refunds are issued at the sole discretion of MintDocs
• To request a refund, email support@mintdocs.in with your payment details
• All refund decisions are final and at the sole discretion of MintDocs

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use MintDocs to:

• Process illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
• Create multiple accounts to abuse the free tier
• Use the Service for automated bulk processing beyond your plan limits
• Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission

7. Document Content and Ownership

You retain full ownership of all documents and content you submit to MintDocs. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, temporary licence to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content.

8. AI Processing Disclaimer

MintDocs uses AI (Anthropic's Claude) to process your documents. AI-generated outputs may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before using it for important decisions. MintDocs is not liable for decisions made based on AI output.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MintDocs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim.

10. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime beyond our control. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned maintenance.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon termination, your access to paid features will end at the close of your current billing period.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.
